The Sacred Land | Common Ground forum on Oct. 18, 2015, brought together leaders in the faith community and the nonprofit affordable housing community from King, Pierce and Snohomish counties.
With the help of our “sister” project, the Project on Faith and Family Homelessness, the forum provided an opportunity to learn from and be inspired by stories of how these two sectors have collaborated to create permanent affordable housing for low income people across the region. Housing developers and people of faith who share a common mission to alleviate suffering and create a more equitable community for all people, regardless of income, were able to come together for this forum in Seattle University’s Campion Ballroom. Leaders within local faith communities and nonprofit housing spoke about how these sectors have come together to create permanent affordable housing.
